About me

I am Ndishombua Favour Ngwasha, a 16-year old senior high school science student from cameroon

I am deeply passionate about biology and public health. I love using what I learn to understand health challenges, educate my community, and promote disease prevention through research and health awareness.

“Is human health understood solely through biological science (Biochemistry), or can health also be interpreted and understood through other factors like our diverse behaviors and cultural practices, lived health experiences (recurring patterns) and the nature of our environment as well ?

Was a question that pondered my mind during a biology lesson in my 8th grade classroom.

That question sparked a curiosity in me, giving me the desire to explore biology not only through lessons and textbooks, but to observe my community, study the health challenges faced, understand how daily habits and the nature of our environment influence our health, while also noting recurring health patterns.

Which would enable me to sensitize individuals in my community, helping them to realize repeated flaws that affects their health, and finally, leading and guiding them through projects that can make our health experiences a better and more improved one.

As I learned more in biology, I realized that the environments we live in, and the habits we practice each day play a powerful role in shaping our health. This changed the way I see biology—not just as a subject to study, but as knowledge that could improve everyday life.

Driven by this passion, I found and led my school’s Hygiene and Sanitation Club, where I applied biological knowledge to promote health awareness. In the club, I led a research study on the effects of menstruation on girls’ education and organized an awareness session based on the findings.

Beyond health initiatives, I have spent the past four years tutoring classmates in Biology and other subjects. Teaching others has shown me that learning is a continuous process; as I help others understand concepts, I deepen my own understanding.

How ever, I noticed that my classmates I tutor, still struggle with biology because of the limited time we work together(During break time in school only), and provided the fact that biology became tougher for most of them in high school, affecting their scores.

Generally, I decided to create this platform, to provide access to interactive lessons at all time for secondary school students in my school and beyond, helping them out with challenging topics, while also providing practice questions after every topic, to help them practice better.

01 / Purpose

Purpose of the Website

This website was created from two challenges I observed among students in my school community: the difficulty many learners face in understanding biology and the limited awareness of how everyday choices influence health.

Through tutoring my classmates, I realized that many students struggled with biology because of the volume of information and the limited time available for explanations. At the same time, I noticed that many young people often neglected their health through unhealthy habits, poor hygiene practices, and limited understanding of disease prevention.

This platform aims to address these challenges by making biology easier to understand and by providing health education through simplified lessons, articles, research-based information, and practical guidance that students can access beyond the classroom.

Beyond biology education, this platform also serves as a space for health awareness. I plan to share health articles based on observations and research within my school and community, addressing issues such as hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Through these articles and the health awareness projects I carry out in my school, I hope to encourage young people to recognize the importance of their daily decisions and take greater responsibility for their health.

02 / Why Biology

Why Biology?

I chose to tutor biology not because I have a perfect mastery, but because of my ability to teach topics I understand in a more comprehensive manner for students, bringing out connections between certain topics, that can help them better.

I noticed that although biology does not always involve complex calculations, many students still struggle with it because of the bulk of their notebooks.

By sorting out topics beginning from the toughest and tutoring through videos and lessons, while also connecting them to real-life examples, and highlighting their relevance to everyday life, students might become more engaged to learning biology.

03 / Vision

Vision

My vision in the long run is for this platform to be highly interactive with at least 1000 students actively learning in a day, as well as providing experienced professors in biology that can help tutor students, making their learning easier and more comprehensive.
